They also have a way out, considering that their shanty town sits on the level that most likely has the gate to the outside (S4), the level that is collapsed is S6. With the goblins being as backstaby as they are, I think they might be lucky to get effective ~80-100 per turn.Īnd to make a point if they have so much infighting that it looks like they're fighting someone else than it doesn't matter if they are actually fighting someone else the effect is the same. ~40-60 is the kobold growth rate* if we are lucky and that is including the losses we took, without backstabbing, them being quite communal, not doing live births and going by lore the total time from the egg being fertilized to the egg hatching inside a single season. What makes you think adding pressure to the mix will make that different ? The big elemental to make full use of the fact that we just destroyed their defenses and likely push all the way into the shanty town and rack up some nasty kill tally, so the follow-up push should do more damage not less and also give them far less time to get defenses up against elementals.Īnd if that cleric of their tries to stop them in person, that means we get a clean shot to kill him, which I would see as a big win.Īnd the guarding to make sure that if they try to go after our shamans (due to the elementals) that they have a harder time.įor the learning action and why i would go with a 2 turn action is that i would take the harvest mine action on turn 17 which should unlock the learning action on turn 18 -> more or less perfect timing for the giant spider stuff.Ĭlick to shrink.Goblins at the best of times are backstabby to a degree that keeps them from actually getting stuff done. I would actually go for the big elemental or if people dislike that more fire elementals and keep pushing. That's the ideal army that I am utterly confident will not care about whatever growth and upgrades the Goblins might have cobbled together since the assault here. It might also inspire the Goblins to copy us and try to summon their own lesser elementals in the future.Ĭurrently, the army I would want to have for our next attack is at least 350 Swarm Fighters, 100 Rogues, Sorcerers in our military, Spell Scrolls for the Rogues and hero units, Giant Spider Cavalry (or at least Giant Spiders trained to a point where we can rely on them not to attack our own Kobolds), and at least one Cleric able (and willing) to do healing. I expect with the fresh knowledge that we can summon and send Elemental attack squads at them, they'll station the cleric down toward our staircase for some emergency banishment if we try that again. In the Goblins' case, that's probably the job of the Cleric of Maglubiyet reported by recon on Turn 11. We'll soon have Sorcerers and spell scrolls available, and I wouldn't want to attack again before those are finished anyway.Īlso, as Leoric mentioned earlier, pretty much every military remotely capable of it tries to get some kind of response to summoned creatures like Elementals. At this point, I would even consider the gamble of locking down the stairway with Beseech The Land Part 3, then develop ourselves in relative calm until that runs out naturally without any intention of extending it. We've already put enough pressure on them that they tried assassinating our leader (only to find out that we're a dragon and they're prey to us). ![]() Well, I for one am satisfied with the blow we dealt for now. ![]()
